A trip to the Cincinnati Zoo for a child in foster care
Foster Child, 15 years old

Therapeutic Interagency ProgramFoster kids are kids, period. And they just want to have the same freedom and joy as their peers. Each year thousands of kids enter foster care in Ohio, separated from their friends, families, neighborhoods and most of what is familiar to them. It can be difficult, but One Simple Wish strives to make the transition a little easier so kids can enjoy childhood and make happy memories!
The Cincinnati Zoo is fun for all ages. Seeing the animals, riding the train and carousel, visiting the petting zoo….it offers fun and memorable experience. Let’s give the kids at TIP a chance to do something that lots of other kids get to do, and spend a fun day at the zoo. For many of the kids at TIP this is a rare kind of outing which makes it extra special!

"I traveled to Cincinnati several times to do some work at a hospital there. You live in a very beautiful city. I never did make it to the zoo, but understand that its supposed to be one of the best zoos in the country. Hopefully, you will have a great time seeing all of the exotic animals living there and get to learn many interesting things about how they live. I bet you will pick a favorite animal to study when you get back in school. Have fun and God bless."
