City Living NYNivea is a former foster youth and staunch advocate for change in the foster care system. She has a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and works full time for the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a peer advocate. Nivea was in foster care from birth, entering directly from the hospital. She works hard to ensure others have a better experience in care than she did.
Nivea attended One Simple Wish's Holiday Wish Party in NYC on December 16th. She had so much fun at Dyllan's Candy Bar. After receiving her wish certificate and thinking long and hard about what she wanted this is what she chose!
