Jamaya has a job interview but getting to the interview is difficult. She has been told that there will also be a second interview as well. Jamaya really needs this job because it pays so much better. Once she gets the job she will be able to stay with a friend that lives locally to the job site until she can afford to buy a car. The job is a good fit for her and she has waited a long time for this position to open up.
Jamaya is 23 years old and lives in NJ
Jamaya was asked to leave her foster home, a place she had been living for three years, the day after her high school graduation. Jamaya has been in foster care since she was two, but was with her maternal grandmother until she was 14. She has no relationship with any of her family. She graduated from high school and has enrolled in college. Jamaya is working at a clothing store in the mall, and she looks forward to her bright future.
