Scarlett is a young mother who has overcome many challenges. She was kicked out of her home as a teenager, and had periods of street homelessness and foster care. She finally got her own apartment at 19, where she lives with her vivacious little girl. Recently, Scarlett has also taken in her two younger sisters, aged 8 and 12, to keep them from living with strangers in the foster care system. Scarlett is a phenomenal mother, who has truly broken any perceived cycle of abuse. Her daughter is the light of her life, and the care she shows for her is clearly apparent.

Scarlett was recently promoted to a new job site and is so excited to take on increased responsibilities. However, with the holidays approaching and her expenses around her daughter increasing, Scarlett has requested a one month metrocard to ensure she can get to and from work while still providing a happy Christmas environment for her daughter.
