Ayana is an amazing young woman who aged out of foster care in NYC. She has been living in her NYCHA apartment for 4 years now. She is currently working toward her Bachelors Degree, and plans to pursue her Graduate Degree in Social Work. She aspires to work in the child welfare system to help other children and young adults succeed. She is also an entrepreneur, starting businesses both to help foster youth and around her passion for cooking. She is a staunch advocate for youth in foster care, linking them to resources and assisting with things like resume writing and career planning.

December is Ayana's birthday month and she rarely asks for anything because everyone is so busy getting ready for the holidays. Ayana works so hard year round in school and as an advocate for other youth in care, we would love to give her something special to ensure she has a great birthday during these difficult times.
