Tomorrow is Joanna's 20th birthday! She has been working hard all year as a mom, student, and writer. Throughout the ups and downs of her mental health, Joanna has persevered in time of crisis. She deserves a special birthday surprise gift card so she can treat herself. Joanna deserves to be celebrated on her birthday and every day!
Joanna is 23 years old and lives in NY
Joanna is a foster care youth who currently resides in her own apartment in NYC public housing with her 1-year-old son. Joanna was diagnosed with severe migraines at the age of 7 and is still dealing with this today. She struggles with her health at times but keeps pushing forward everyday for herself and her son. Joanna is a very passionate and hardworking individual who is dedicated to making a better life.
