CSULB - Guardian Scholars ProgramAmber Yardley is a 5th year college student that dreams of becoming an Elementary teacher, a High School teacher, and a College Professor! She currently is taking courses related to this dream and has ambitions to apply to for a master’s program, the Multiple Subject Credential Program, as well as earn a Single Subject Credential. Amber knew that she wanted to be a teacher from the time she was in second grade. She works as a Special Education Aide for a school district. Currently she educates high school Algebra and English students. Amber said that it doesn’t feel like work because she loves what she does! Teaching, educating, and mentoring are Amber’s passions!
Amber would be grateful to receive a hutch desk to store her belongings in around her desk area. As she nears the end of her 5th year of college, she has accumulated numerous books and papers that will assist her in her professional career. She would be grateful to have space for her computer and printer, alongside easy access to her textbooks and school supplies. She often struggles to toggle between her computer, papers, and books on her desk. This desk will have a huge impact on Amber’s organization in her bedroom which in turn, she believes will help improve her mental health.

"Dear Donor, I’m ecstatic to receive my desk! I’ve already reorganized my room and it is so much more comfortable! Before this gift, I did not find comfort in my room. Now that I’ve been blessed with my desk, my room has an entirely new climate! It’s welcoming and well organized. I am immensely grateful and would like you to know it’s not possible for me to make purchases like this for myself! Thank you so very much for your generosity and kindness. I hope it comes back ten fold. Amber "
