An Alexa Device for Bri to help with her meditation

Brianna, 17 years old

Wish submitted by:

CASA NJ - Atlantic, Cape May, and Camden Counties

Bri is an exceptional young adult who has faced tremendous adversity but remains hopeful for her future. Having faced several placements over the last several years in foster care, Bri has struggled with her mental health. Despite this, she has worked on improving her grades (even finishing the last school year with all A's and B's), and bettering herself in every way she can. She looks forward to the next few years where she will gain more independence, with hopes of getting her license and going to college.

Bri is an extremely resilient young person. Having been through so much in her young life, she is working on ways to overcome some of the mental health battles she has been facing. She has expressed an interest in meditation to help calm her and bring her some peace of mind. She is asking for an Alexa device so that she can listen to peaceful music and play some guided meditation in the hopes of improving her quality of life.

"Hi Bri. I read your story and wanted to say that even though I’m a total stranger, I am so, so proud of you. I can tell how hard you’ve been working on yourself despite the hardships you’ve gone through. Use your Alexa to meditate and play calming music (but fun music too!). You deserve to take care of yourself and have a good life no matter what you’ve been through. Please know that there’s a sisterhood out here thinking about you and wishing you the best. We love you.
