Amiya is a freshman in high school. She loves math and basketball and spending time with her friends in the courtyard. Math has been Amiya’s favorite subject since elementary school and remains her highest grade. Her second love is basketball and she is happiest when she is on the court or running on the track. She is smart, strong, funny, beautiful and determined. Amiya wants to go on to a 4 year college when she finishes high school and become a math teacher. She is still very close with and influenced by her middle school math teacher.
