Mary’s Dad died when she was about 8 years old. Mary’s guardian has taken in multiple family members of hers due to various reasons . Last year, Mary’s guardian, was in the hospital for several reasons for a total of 6 months. Throughout all the upheaval, Mary has continued to shine and excel at school and in her personal life. She is level-headed, quiet, and maintains a sense of humor while living in the maelstrom that has become her personal life at home. Mary graduated from 8th Grade and was distinguished as the first person to be awarded the Catholic Diocesan Scholarship for all four years of high school at Gloucester Catholic High – an achievement no one in the history of Gloucester schools has ever been able to attain! She also received several other academic awards at that same graduation for scholastic achievement. Needless to say, her everyone is very proud of her!! She envisions herself becoming either a doctor or veterinarian when she grows up. She loves to read and watch the history and science channels, and is far more mature than her years.
