Madison is creative and bright, and has a special interest in drawing. She talks about make-up, clothes, and friends and wants to be like other girls her age. Madison is an 8th grader who has thrived after a very difficult year. She moved in with a new guardian this summer and, with much apprehension, had to start the school year at a new school. But she has made friends, is doing well in her classes and has overcome her anxieties. Madison is very creative and loves to write and draw. But one thing she wants to do, but has been unable to do, is learn to play the piano. The first foster home she lived in 18 months ago had a piano, and she enjoyed experimenting on it. She talks about the fact that she likes young children and in our last couple of visits she tells me she would like to be an obstetrician when she grows up.
