James was removed from his parents when he was one year old. He was in foster care for three years but went into a family member's home until he was 12. In the past 15 months, James has been in three different placements including another relative and now is in a group home. It became clear on the outings with the CASA that James was fascinated with photography and she gave him informal lessons using her camera and shared some of his pictures with the Judge. The judge ordered lessons and a camera for him but a year later it has never been fulfilled.
