Brittney was in the foster care system in the state of Michigan and is currently a junior undergraduate student at Eastern Michigan University, where she is pursuing her degree in Social Work with a minor in Music and a focus in Child Welfare, Public Policy, and American Government. Her prior experience with the Michigan Youth Opportunity Initiative through the Department of Health and Human Services has been key in prepping her for the Foster Youth Internship (FYI) Program.
