Antwone generally keeps to himself. He has been in foster care for a little over two years, but with his current home for about six months. When he first was placed with his current foster parent, he did not say much. Antwone was used to being moved and had been in 6 different homes within the past two years, so making a connection was not his first priority. He just wanted to not be moved again. His foster parent then decided to take Antwone fishing. It was a quiet activity which did not require speaking, but presented a safe, calming, and open atmosphere. Antwone loved it. He found amusement in all aspects of fishing and began asking his foster parent any question he had about the activity. They have made it a point to go fishing at least once a month, if not more. Since this trip Antwone has opened up to his foster parent and began to confide in him.
