Ari’Onna has been through a lot of difficult situations. With the help of supportive people around her she’s been able to begin the journey of reaching her goals. Ari’Onna has learned how to ask for help and support from those around her, and utilizes this to grow as an individual. Ari’Onna is now loving life and the prospects for her future. Ari’Onna’s accomplishments this year are many! She has achieved awesome grades at school, she attends and participates in monthly YAC meetings, she enthusiastically works for A Better Chance for our Children and she actively participates in Pathway for Success, which is a group of youth that meet discuss different life experiences. Also this year, AriOnna participated in a state competition where she developed an employment portfolio. Ari’Onna continues to engage in community activities, and takes advantage of any opportunities that come her way. Ari’Onna wants to be a therapist one day and plans on going to university once she graduates high school. Ari’Onna is an incredibly eloquent young lady and her ability to communicate her thoughts and feelings to be an advocate for herself, her siblings, and others is truly beyond her years. Of all her talents, her compassion, wisdom and ability to advocate verbally is her greatest strength. She considers herself a survivor although she notes that her journey is not over.
