From Nadin: "Being in the foster care system was a tough and challenging experience for me. As a twin, I was considered the "black sheep" and as a form of punishment, social workers would keep me from seeing my twin sister for months at a time. They knew this would hurt me deeply. In addition to that, always having that feeling of not belonging somewhere, always feeling less than in homes where I knew people just had me there for a pay check. Never being able to make friends or long lasting relationships because I was constantly moved from city to city.
