Darren was removed from his home in 2013 due to domestic violence and drug use. He lived with an aunt and uncle for a short time but was also removed from there due to neglect and allegations of physical abuse. He then was placed with another aunt and uncle in a different state which also did not work out. The next placement was an emergency shelter. Darren's great grandmother requested guardianship of Darren and his brothers, wanting to keep them together and with family. She was granted guardianship and they have been with her ever since 2016. Darren is a very sweet and loving boy who never complains or asks for anything. He is a big help around the house and always looks out for his grandmother.
