Ruta came to the US as an Unaccompanied Refugee Minor from Eritrea. She has been here a few years and has already graduated high school! She is very resilient and resourceful. She likes cooking food from her home country and hanging out with other youth from her country. She is now in the Catholic Charities Semi-Independent Living Program learning how to live life in her own apartment.
