Mejella is an adorable child. She finds school to be boring, but she is willing to learn. She is willing to find joy and happiness despite life being "boring" at times. The joy is found in the friends that she has met, and she wants to participate in the after-school program. The resource family cannot help but love her as she finds happiness in the little things, such as eating with the family. She is initially quiet when talking with her, but she quickly becomes an engaging, talkative child.
