When auditioning in front of the American Idol judges, Cameron remembers them asking him about what it was like growing up. An anxious Cameron, quickly shared that it was a "bit rough". The truth is, he grew up in and out of foster care, until he turned 18 when he made the decision to leave, taking his brother and sister with him so that he could provide them with stability.
