When auditioning in front of the American Idol judges, Cameron remembers them asking him about what it was like growing up. An anxious Cameron, quickly shared that it was a "bit rough". The truth is, he grew up in and out of foster care, until he turned 18 when he made the decision to leave, taking his brother and sister with him so that he could provide them with stability. Cameron has an incredible voice and has used music as an outlet for as long as he can remember, being on American Idol was an absolute dream come true - but he didn't just appear on the show, he won the coveted Platinum ticket from his audition!

Cameron is a great singer and musician, but most importantly, he is a caring human and an incredibly devoted dad. Although Cameron thought that American Idol might be his big break, things are still very tight right now and he cannot afford new shoes for his son right now. Cameron remembers the feeling of walking around on well-worn shoes and he is hopeful that with a little support, his son will not need to endure the same difficulties that he did.
