Katie is a young trans woman living with a disability and resides in a group facility. Since aging out of foster care, Katie has faced multiple barriers. Katie is determined to achieve independence and make her own decisions, a quality that she has exemplified in her steadfast self-advocacy to her legal aid attorney.
