Danniela is a sweet and cheerful child who experiences significant speech and intellectual delays. Before entering foster care, she was raised by her mother, who also has a substantial intellectual delay. Danniela did not begin attending school until she was nine years old and is significantly behind her grade level. She loves music, dancing, and listening to stories being read to her. Currently, Danniela is living with her maternal aunt, who cares for her deeply. This aunt is also responsible for Danniela's non-verbal brother.
