Michelle entered foster care in 2015 and aged out at 18. She enjoys reading, singing, writing, and taking walks when the weather is nice. Currently, Michelle works several part-time jobs to make ends meet and hopes to secure a more permanent position in the future. She has overcome homelessness and an abusive relationship before finally obtaining a housing voucher, which provided her with some stability. Since leaving foster care, she has volunteered to assist other foster youth who are about to emancipate. She finds fulfillment in giving back to the organization that has supported her on her journey toward independence.
