Shamiah is a resilient young woman who recently transitioned out of foster care and proudly secured her first apartment using an FYI voucher. She is currently balancing life as a stay-at-home mom while pursuing her education in nursing. Passionate about caregiving, Shamiah's ultimate goal is to become a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) and possibly a full-time social worker, so she can make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. She dreams of one day becoming a foster mom to babies, giving back to a system she once navigated herself. In her free time, Shamiah enjoys cooking, reading, and listening to music, all of which bring peace and joy to her busy days.
