Victoria was placed in foster care at the age of 14 when her mother was deported. Although she had an older brother, he refused to take responsibility for her, leading to her placement in a foster home. At 17, Victoria became involved with a boyfriend who convinced her to leave foster care. Unfortunately, this decision led her into an impossible situation, and she found herself in an abusive relationship. Despite the challenges, Victoria was ultimately able to leave that relationship, but she became homeless as a result. Fortunately, local agencies connected her with resources that helped her secure a hotel stay, and eventually, she found an apartment. Now, she is incredibly happy to finally have a stable home and to be safe.
