Ezra and his two younger sisters were removed from the custody of their parents. They experienced a significant amount of trauma watching their parents being arrested, and suddenly being separated from them and each other. Ezra has made a great deal of progress in therapy in dealing with the changes in his life, but suffers from a tremendous amount of anxiety that has surfaced as he discusses his trauma. Ezra tells his foster mother that his anxiety surfaces often before school, although he is not always able to voice why. Ezra loves martial arts, museums, and music most of all.
