Gabriel has been part of the foster care system since he was very young. He has moved from home to home and recently started at yet another new school. After a rough beginning, he has found a supportive team of teachers and staff at his new school. Gabriel has also discovered basketball as a way to cope with the challenges in his life. He is strong and resilient, understanding the importance of education and moving forward. While he recognizes some difficulties in his past, Gabriel believes he has a bright future ahead. He is excited about being a part of the basketball team at his new school. Although his foster parent provided him with a pair of basketball shoes, he is hoping to get a specific pair that he really wants.
