Nathan is an upstanding young teenager who works hard in school and at home. Nathan's mom was unable to take care of him, and his father passed away when he was very young. Nathan has lived with his cousin for several years, but unfortunately, Nathan's cousin was also unable to care for him. Child protective services became involved with the family and learned that Nathan had a positive relationship with his ROTC instructor. When Nathan was removed from his cousin's home, he expressed an interest in living with his ROTC instructor and his family. Nathan and his family are now going through the adoption process so Nathan can become a permanent member of the family.
