Savannah's dad has a history of domestic violence that affects his ability to keep her safe, while her mom struggles with alcohol addiction, resulting in unsafe situations for Savannah. Currently, Savannah is doing well in school after entering the 10th grade with no credits. She lives with her aunt and receives positive feedback from her teachers.
