Yanden has endured profound loss and instability throughout her life. She experienced the devastating loss of her brother to gang violence, a trauma that continues to affect her deeply. From a young age, she was moved through multiple foster homes, and her mother abandoned her early in life, leaving her to care for her younger siblings long before she should have had that responsibility. These experiences have contributed to significant trauma and depression, yet Yaden continues to show strength and determination. She is now a devoted mother to two beautiful girls, working hard every day to give them the stability and love she didn’t receive growing up. Recently, Yanden has taken an inspiring step toward building a better future by investing in her own Etsy business, creating crafts and handmade items. This small business represents hope, independence, and a chance for her to heal while providing for her family in a meaningful way.
