Drea was in foster care and has worked hard to build a stable and independent life for herself. In July 2024, she completed a welding program at UEI. Despite facing uncertainty and moments of discouragement about her future, she persevered. After graduating, Drea felt overwhelmed when apprenticeship opportunities seemed limited, but her determination paid off when she found the right program and a supportive mentor. Now, Drea is thriving and earning a steady income. She has recently moved into her own apartment—her first place—which is a milestone she is incredibly proud of. Drea has been thoughtfully saving to furnish it, excited to create a space that reflects her independence and hard work. Her journey showcases her resilience, motivation, and ability to push through difficult moments to achieve her goals.
