Malcom, 6 years old, OH

Malcom is a bright and energetic young boy who entered foster care due to significant environmental concerns and housing insecurity. Since entering care, he has been diagnosed with PTSD. The trauma he experienced at a young age has affected his emotional regulation, sense of safety, and daily functioning. At times, Malcom struggles with anxiety, big emotions, and behavioral challenges connected to the instability he has faced. Despite these challenges, Malcom continues to show incredible strength and resilience. He actively participates in therapy and is making meaningful progress in learning healthy coping skills, building trust, and expressing his emotions in positive ways. His care team is very proud of how far he has come.
