Jeni is a strong and determined young woman who has overcome many challenges. After experiencing homelessness for over a year, she achieved the important milestone of moving into her own apartment. She works two part-time jobs and continues to do everything she can to build a stable future for herself. Jeni is also passionate about helping others. She serves on two Youth Action Boards, where she advocates for changes that will better support young people experiencing homelessness in Nebraska. She regularly attends virtual meetings and helps create documents, flyers, and other materials that support this important work. In addition to working and volunteering, Jeni is focused on her education. She plans to complete her high school diploma and hopes to attend college in the future. Through all of life's challenges, Jeni has remained resilient, hardworking, and committed to creating a better future for herself and other young people.
