At just two years old, Damien is learning to navigate the world around him for the first time. He is lucky to be doing this with a single mom and an older brother by his side cheering him on. Recently diagnosed with autism, Damien has a difficult time with being overstimulated around new people and sounds. In addition to this, his families financial difficulty has made it difficult to have all of his needs assessed and met. Despite these challenges, Damien is working hard to learn to walk and to tolerate new settings. He is exploring new things each day and finding joy in the connection of family and the excitement of seeing the world around him for the first time.
