Joel is a first-year Animated Arts major at Kutztown University who spends much of his free time creating art. As a former foster youth currently facing housing insecurity at home, he considers the university his home year-round. He's maintained a high GPA throughout high school despite the instability of foster care and multiple housing transitions. Joel is motivated to make the most of every opportunity in college, getting involved on campus and even taking on commissioned art projects for extra income.
