Annabelle’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Coming to the United States from Bahrain as a young girl, she faced challenges that most of her peers couldn't imagine. While they were busy with school dances and friendships, Annabelle was learning how to navigate life on her own. But just surviving was never her goal. Despite the tough times, including navigating the foster care system, she remained focused on building a better future. Annabelle worked hard and eventually earned her associate's degree from the local community college, reflecting her determination. Now, she’s proudly employed at a department store and has her own apartment, taking steps every day toward the independent life she has fought so hard to create. Annabelle’s story is a powerful reminder of what can happen when you refuse to let your circumstances define you.
