Nia can fix just about anything with an engine, a skill she picked up from a mentor at an after-school auto shop program she joined. She takes her plans to become an automotive technician seriously, and she spends her weekends volunteering at the shop whenever she can. Nia has lived in four different foster homes since she was twelve, and the constant moving has made her cautious about getting close to people, though she's warm and dry-witted once she trusts someone. She's practical and self-sufficient by necessity, often the one who ends up problem-solving for the younger kids in her placement. Outside of cars, she likes hiking, listening to true crime podcasts, and keeping a small notebook of goals she's working toward. Nia has navigated more instability than most people her age, and she deserves consistent support as she works toward the independent, skilled career she's building for herself.
