Our mission is to provide stability, dignity and compassionate care to children entering the foster care system while supporting the families and community that care for them. At the center of our work are two residential group homes that provide short-term trauma infuriated care for children and sibling sets entering the foster care system while awaiting placement with foster families or kinship caregivers. Children typically stay in our homes for an average of 90 days. During that time, we focus on creating a safe, stable, and supportive environment where children can begin to process transition while maintains as much normalcy and comfort as possible. In addition to our residential homes, Foster + Heart operates several outreach initiatives that support the broader foster care community, including programs that provide essential resources, respite opportunities for foster parents, and direct support to children entering foster care.
