Brooklyn, who prefers to be called, "Libby" is a sweet young girl that is new to foster care. Prior to coming into foster care, Libby had not attended school in two years. Since being in school she has expressed how much she absolutely loves learning and is always eager to learn new things. Libby is very active and enjoys playing outside and exploring. Libby is fortunate at this time to be placed at a home with her older brother and although she is younger she is often times serves as the protector in their relationship. Libby may come off as a little timid and maybe a little shy at first but, she is always welcoming to others. She wants everyone to feel included and is an amazing friend to all!

Brooklyn has been in foster care for just over a year now. In that year, she has continued to have visitation off and on with her biological parents and continues to also be let down time and time again by false promises that are made. Brooklyn’s parents have had their visitations suspended on several occasions simply because they have not shown up. Because of this, Brooklyn often feels unworthy and not important to them anymore. One of the most recent promises that his parents told her, and her sibling, was that they were going to get them a tablet for Christmas however; they have since changed their minds meaning yet another promise broken. Brooklyn has a difficult time understanding why her parents do not follow through with what they say and continues to question the love they have for her. Brooklyn was greatly looking forward to this tablet and her foster parents simply cannot afford to get her this at this time. Please help Brooklyn make this wish come true!
