She was diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic and has struggled immensely with being “different” in yet another way. Her main struggle is controlling food impulses when she is bored. Emma is a straight A student, and loves school. She wants to be an Olympic Gymnast and Cheerleader.
Emma has been asking for a Turquoise Nintendo Switch for over a year. She is taking a trip to Oregon and will be in the car and on a plane for several hours. Having a Nintendo Switch Lite will definitely help pass the time while traveling. In speaking with her diabetic counselor she recommended a reward system for days when Emma's diabetic goals are met. She suggested a video game system as a great choice for most children!
