Mecklenburg County Guardian ad LitemRonald is a young man who was in an abusive home. Once in the system, his sister stepped forward and asked him to move in with her and her family. He has thrived in his new family setting and gets along well with everyone there. He has fit in well as a “big brother” for his nephews and helps her with “running” the house. He enjoys school, especially math and science. When he grows up, he wants to play a professional sport or maybe be a coach!
Ronald loves sports and is doing well in his academics (they are tied to him being able to play high school sports—he is motivated to study). This past winter season, he was on his school’s wrestling team. This spring season he will be on the school track team and needs running shoes to be able to continue. He has asked for a gift card so he can try them on in the store and ask the professionals which ones may be best for him!
