Foster Alumni MentorsAndrea is a caring and kind-hearted young woman, as well as a loving mother to a little girl. She has spent most of her young life in foster care and kinship care. Despite the challenges she has faced, she is a resilient and positive person. After moving between different cities she is now happy to be living in one place.
Andrea used to crochet a lot and it really helped her to get out of a really bad place and get her sober. Eventually she stopped crocheting and no longer has any of her old crochet items. Since aging out of care and moving from place to place she hasn't had anywhere to be able to store her stuff. Now that she has her own place she would like to get back into crocheting so she can stay busy and keep herself from getting into a depression again. Andrea has been clean and sober for a few years now and she wants to make sure that she continues going down a good path and stays out of feeling down. This will help lift her up and give her something to do around the house.
