Najarrrea is attending school full-time. She has completed three college semesters with excellent grades and mapped out her education to complete her AA degree in criminology before graduating from this program. She has looked into other schools which are competent in providing services to former foster youth. She is connected with her sister and her sister's children, and she attends all groups provided by the school.

Najarrrea is doing well in our independent living program. She would like to get a job so she can save money for a car and her own place this year. She says the financial aid check only provides enough to carry her through the academic school year. She has to purchase books and was only provided a loaner laptop last academic year. Since the pandemic, there have not been any laptops available. However, the school is offering tutoring hours to students. If she meets with tutors, she cannot work and go to school. She will thrive if she has a laptop to sign up for online classes and do her homework online.
