NJ DCFS - Hudson CountyKatie is a loving and caring young lady who recently aged out of foster care and got her first apartment. The hardest part about having been in foster care was being away from her brothers, which continues to be a challenge, but she hopes to have a consistent relationship with them one day. Katie is a single mom, who works part-time at a doctor's office and attends school to become a medical assistant.
Katie's big sister, Amy, was kicked out of her home when she was 17. The same thing just happened to Katie. They've been without each other for the last three years and have just reconnected since Katie went into foster care last month. Katie and Amy have a lot of shared childhood trauma which only they understand. They're now catching up on missed time together and would love to attend one of Drake's concerts in NY together to spend some quality time and a day out just the two of them. This experience will help strengthen their bond and give them time to enjoy being sisters. They both have used music throughout the years to help them cope, and they can't wait to experience a concert together.
