This young person is resilient, creative, just an overall great person. This youth comes from humble begins and had a stent within the juvenile justice system. She has had the opportunity to turn her life around is currently residing in a TAY Housing program, in school full time, and recently became a new mom. This youth is involved in an organization called, The Parktakeover. Parktakeover is an organization where families get together and take over the park. Daniela has been volunteering since before she gave birth and now volunteers as a mom to keep an eye on the children while they play, so the parents can get a break. During parktakeover, recently the youth heard about an event called The Black Mother's March. She is wanting to attend, but cannot afford it. This event takes place from May 12- May 14, but she is asking to fly out the evening of May 15 in order to get assistance traveling with her son, from her mentor. We understsand this is a big request and last minute, but anything can help. She is asking for funds for both her plane ticket, food, hotel ( there are group rates where other moms are staying) and transportation cost while she is there.
