UMCH Family ServicesElisha is a resilient young man who is currently living in a foster home with his older sister. Because his older sister took on the role of protective mother prior to foster care and did most things for him, Elisha is working on gaining skills to do things on his own. He loves to learn new things and gain new skills. Elisha always exhibits kindness and respect to those around him. He always goes out of his way to be a friend to everyone.
Elisha has been working closely with a behavioral health counselor to improve self-esteem, confidence and independence. Elisha has learned through counseling sessions that he has a love for music and has been utilizing a ukulele to learn independent skills. Elisha would love a ukulele of his own to practice music by himself. Elisha lights up when he is playing or talking about music! Elisha didn't receive a ukulele on his birthday, but he still has high hopes that this wish will come true in his birthday month.
