Aubrey is a smart, ambitious, and funny young girl currently living with her foster family. Aubrey has been in foster care since 2019 has lived through a lot of heartache and opportunity. Aubrey is the eldest of 7 siblings. Growing up, Aubrey was expected to care for her younger six siblings. She cared for them as if they were her own. Because of her parents' ongoing substance use and domestic violence, her main concern was ensuring she and her siblings were okay. She is takes her leader role very seriously. She is the first to advocate for her siblings and her self, no matter the circumstance. Currently Aubrey is working on transitioning from high school and pursuing other dreams. She is hoping to attend beauty school where she will learn to "do eyebrows and lashes".

Aubrey has been in foster care for four years and will be going onto a "court jurisdiction" program, allowing her to move forward with her life. Unfortunately, she was not adopted but has the great support of fictive kin, including her foster home. Mid-June Aubrey will be turning 18 and finding herself venturing into adulthood. Aubrey will be graduating from high school on June 9, 2023. Historically, she has struggled with school and was at risk of not completing high school, much less walking with her class on graduation. She was placed in an alternative education classroom at her high school and was able to recover the majority of her credits within one semester. Her counselors and teachers reported that they were very impressed with Aubrey and her ability to recover her credits. She was moved from her alternative education class to normal classes and has maintained her discipline and grades. This is why we want to celebrate her accomplishments by ensuring she gets her class ring.
