Jessi is a strong, resilient young adult. Jessi is fighting to break a cycle with a goal of graduating by her 18th birthday and has signed an extended foster care agreement to transition to an independent living program and attend college. Jessi's drive is incredible and she has so much potential to be successful. Jessi is respectful to others and has shown to be such a great friend, "big sister" and mentor to other girls in the foster care system.

Jessi enjoys watching movies in her downtime. It's often overwhelming in the emergency shelter to sit in the common areas or have to share the main TV. Jessi is also the oldest in the shelter and able to watch more mature movies that others are not allowed to watch. A portable DVD player would allow her time in her room to enjoy a movie alone.
