Sheyanne has been in foster care most of her life. She had an original dependency and was adopted, but was returned to foster care and eventually aged out at 18. She continues to participate in Extended Foster Care and receives support. Sheyanne recently graduated high school and is navigating what comes next.

Sheyanne recently moved to a new group home where she can't lock her door. She's always had a room where she can lock her door which has been important for her trauma history. Unfortunately, door locking doesn't work with licensing regulations so alternative options need to be explored. Sheyanne is comfortable with a camera as an alternative option. This camera will alarm Sheyanne when there is motion and she can check the camera live from her phone.
